Preconstruction Planning
To ensure a smooth start to the construction phase of a project, M.E.P. Power, Corp. makes all necessary efforts to become familiar with the project design and how it will be realized. Important to this process is the organization of a pre-construction conference. The efficient administration of this meeting includes organizing the meeting, preparing a detailed agenda, outlining known and foreseeable conflicts.

M.E.P. Power, Corp. estimating team are quick on their feet and assertive yet tactful in motivating other members of a bid team to produce a successful submission. Time management, efficiency, the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision are all important. So are leadership and team work – no one can produce a bid single-handedly.

Management
We present techniques, project planning, risk assessment, cost estimation, forecasting and economic evaluation. Also we address programming and financing issues, such as contracting and bidding for services, financing, organizing communication and insuring effective use of information. We discuss for control of time, cost and quality during the construction phase. Beginning courses in engineering economics (including cash flow analysis and discounting), use of computers, probability and statistics would be useful.
